IFHD Annual Banquet

November 4,, 2006

Thanks for all who attended the IFHD Annual banguet. All had fun and we had a good time.

A special thanks to our auctioneer and his helpers. We auctioned off two puppies that our auctioneer mad much fun.

 

 

IFHD Meeting Minutes

June 13, 2006

Started meeting 7:00 p.m.:

Financial Report:   Read by Treasurer

Old Business:

      • Senate Bill – SB 2334 – Signed into Law on 5-12-06 . This law will take effect January 1, 2007. This is the Bill proposed by IFHD to protect hunters if their dog (on there own) crosses onto someone else property from getting a trespassing ticket.
      • House Bill - HB 5332 -  Looking for support. IFHD is working on getting support for the bill.
      • House Bill HB 2414 - IFHD is asking for all to vote against the gun bill. Please support the right to legally own guns.
      • Setting up Regional or District Clubs. - IFHD is working on setting up Regional or District Clubs. Hope to have something started by beginning of the next year.
      • IFOR Banquet - John Blanton attended the IFOR Banquet for IFHD.

New Business:

      • 2006 Conservation Forum – April 8 - IFHD took part in the 2006 Conservation Forum. It was a huge success. The final report can be viewed at :  http://www.if-or.org/conservation_forum_report.pdf

        • Gun Raffle Tickets – Please get some tickets to help sell.

        IFHD Annual Banquet – November 4, 2006 at Jerseyville.

      • Other topics discussed:

        • IFHD is wanting all members to be looking for candidates to participate in the Youth Camp for next year.

        Looking about giving away a members scholarship each year.

        It was discussed of donating to the Hunters Safety Program.

New Membership: New members since last meeting:

    • Millstadt Coon Hunters - 30 Members
    • Retrievers Unlimited HRC – 80 Members
    • New Athens Sportsmen Club -  175 Members
    • Individual Members   -     5 Members

IFHD welcomes and appreciates the new members. Thanks for supporting our rights to hunt, hunt with dogs, own dogs and participate in outdoor activities.

I.F.H.D. March 14, 2006 Meeting -

We had a good turn out for the meeting.

All reminded of the new I.F.H.D. Web Site. All Members were encouraged to visit the site and send an email to huntdog@ifhd.net and list that they are a member so a email list can be compiled for email notifications of upcoming meetings or events. Member’s can also include their mailing addresses and which type of hunting they do. A Members data base will be developed to help in email, mailing label’s and etc. for the I.F.H.D.

I.F.H.D. elected officers for the upcoming year.

The bill SB2334 that I.F.H.D. requested has passed the Senate and is making its way through the House.

The IFHD discussed the other bills and upcoming legislation concerning outdoorsmen and hunters.

IFHD decided to develop branch or districts clubs to reach members in more of the State. The first area will be North of Springfield.

IFHD will encourage the Coon hunters, rabbit hunters and bird hunters to hold field trials to help gain member’s.
